If You Give a Mouse a Ticket to the Black Keys Concert

If you give a mouse a ticket to The Black Keys concert, it will probably want a beer and a burger before the show. That mouse was me. Luckily, there are lots of places to get a beer and burg in downtown GR. Some have black-paint-on-the-wall-pinball-machine-as-decoration vibes and some have dark-wood-counter-classic-pub vibes.

We ended up in an atmosphere closer to the second option at McFadden’s.

Chicken sandwich with cherry chutney, smoked cheddar, and bacon on ciabatta. Sex appeal.

Bleu cheese burger with bacon. Classic as hell and delicious.

Cheers to them for putting pepper on the fries. I love pepper. Also, yay for $2 Founders and $4 irish car bombs on special.

And, of course, The Black Keys put on a great show. Patrick Carney was gloriously drenched in sweat as any good drummer should be.

Disco ball made me real happy. Good set. Good vibes. Good eats. Good times.

Pepper is amazing. It’s an important element of my diet. Can’t have too much.

Your pictures from the concert make it seem like it’s a small show not in a huge arena. Glad that you had a good time.
