Dusty’s Cellar for Lovers’ Day

Valentine’s Day is such a good excuse to be a hedonist. My boyfriend and I had a very classy evening at Dusty’s Cellar in Okemos.

Seems like just about everywhere, people were feeling the love. A coworker brought in homemade German chocolate brownies for everyone. Even Qdoba had a buy 1 get 1 sale on burritos which was only honored upon witness of a kiss between the two benefiting parties.

I don’t want to get all sentimental on the internet, but my boyfriend is pretty darn swell. I came home from work to find pink potted tulips and a box of chocolates in my room accompanied by a lovely love note. I felt very loved.

Dusty’s Cellar is the perfect place for a special date because it is classy as hell. The food and wine were delicious and the wine/beer/cheese/specialty food shop is every wino/cheeseo/beero/foodie’s dream.

The pics don’t really do the dishes justice; the tradeoffs of mood lighting.

Girl, you know I painted my nails before my date.
Dusty’s Cellar – wine bar, restaurant, deli, fancy food shop
Chopped salad. Salami, boiled egg, heart of palm, kalamata olives, tomato, pine nuts and delicious bleu cheese.
Chicken breast stuffed w/ cheese, spinach, and other stuff with veggies over orzo rice.
Brazilian coffee BBQ rubbed beef tournedos w/ avocado, mashed potato, and crunchy onions.
Tahitian vanilla creme brulee
This is the wine we drank at dinner. Picked up a bottle to take home.

I hope you all felt some love and gave some out, too.
